“I have a bug in the plate!”
For many this statement is disgusting, others are indifferent, but it makes the mouth water for almost 2 billion people. Through a journey into the world of edible insects we discover how they have been part of the human diet from ancient times to today.
In which countries? How are they consumed? How they taste like? And for the future? We will also find an insect in our plates in the West? This book tries to answer such questions and helps the reader to overcome prejudices and fears regarding the edible insects.
The authors are Giluia Maffei and Giulia Tacchini of Entonote. The book will be released in Italy for Il Castello Editore in mid-November 2016.
